IT support for small businesses in New York City and Long Island
You call, I answer. Guerrero Technology is a one-person managed IT provider looking after networks, security and backups for small businesses across the five boroughs, Nassau and Suffolk — in English or Spanish.
Call or text
(929) 779-3188Same-day response on business days. Existing clients get an emergency number for evenings and weekends.
What you actually get
Most small businesses do not need a forty-person IT department. They need one person who knows their network, picks up the phone, and fixes it.
Network management
Wi-Fi, switches, firewalls and servers set up so they stay up, with monitoring that flags a failing drive or a dropped VPN before you notice.
Cybersecurity
Endpoint protection, email filtering, multi-factor authentication, patching, and staff training aimed at the phishing that actually reaches your inbox.
Help desk
Remote support for the daily friction — printers, Outlook, a laptop that will not boot — and on-site visits when remote will not do it.
Backup and recovery
Encrypted cloud backup with restores that get tested on a schedule. A backup nobody has ever restored from is not a backup.
Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
Migration, licence cleanup, shared drives, and the security settings most businesses never switch on.
Azure and AWS
Migration, cost review and right-sizing for businesses that moved to the cloud and got a bill they did not expect.
Why hiring one person works better than you would think
Larger providers route you into a ticket queue and send a different technician every time. Here you get the same engineer who built your network, who remembers that your practice software needs the old printer driver and that Tuesday mornings are your busiest.
The trade-off is honest: I take on a limited number of clients so response times stay real. If your size or your hours are not a fit, I will say so and point you to someone who is.
Who I work with
Four kinds of business make up most of my work. Each one has its own software, its own compliance pressure and its own worst possible hour to go down.
Medical and dental practices
HIPAA safeguards, imaging and practice-management systems, encrypted email, and a signed business associate agreement.
Law firms
Client confidentiality under Rule 1.6, document management, secure file transfer, and protection for trust-account fraud.
Accounting and bookkeeping
The written security plan the IRS and FTC require, tax-software uptime through filing season, and locked-down remote access.
Retail and restaurants
POS systems that stay online at dinner rush, PCI requirements, and guest Wi-Fi kept away from your payment network.

Common questions
How much does managed IT support cost for a small business?
Managed IT is billed monthly, either per user or per device, so the cost tracks your headcount instead of how often things break — you are never penalised for calling. Guerrero Technology plans run $95 to $165 per user per month depending on whether security monitoring and backup are bundled in. One-off projects such as a server migration or an office move are quoted at a fixed price before any work starts.
What happens during the free IT assessment?
It takes about an hour, on-site or remote. I inventory what you are running, test whether your backups actually restore, review who holds administrator access, check your firewall and Wi-Fi configuration, and go through the security settings in your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace tenant. You get a written summary of what I found and what I would fix first, whether or not you hire me.
Do you support businesses outside Manhattan?
Yes. On-site work covers all five boroughs plus Nassau and Suffolk counties on Long Island. Most issues are resolved remotely the same day; on-site visits are scheduled around your business hours rather than mine.
Do you offer IT support in Spanish?
Yes, completely. Assessments, written documentation, staff security training and everyday support are all available in Spanish at native level.
We already have someone handling IT. Can you work alongside them?
Often, yes. Co-managed arrangements are common: I take on security, backup and after-hours coverage while your internal person keeps handling day-to-day requests. It is usually cheaper than replacing either side.
How quickly do you respond?
On business days I acknowledge requests within four business hours and resolve most issues remotely the same day. Clients on a managed plan get a direct emergency number for evenings and weekends.
What size business is a good fit?
Roughly 3 to 40 people. Below that, a managed plan is usually more than you need and hourly support makes more sense. Above that, you are probably better served by a provider with a bench of technicians — and I will tell you so rather than take the work.
